1983: MODERN ENGINEERING COMPANY (MEC) was established in Egypt as the sole agent of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation for Elevators &Escalators.
1983: MELCO-MEC supplied First Mitsubishi elevators in Egypt at Giza Area.
1985: MELCO-MEC supplied the first high speed Mitsubishi Elevators with speed 3.5 m/sec at “World Trade Center Project”.
1986: MELCO-MEC secured the first 5 stars hotel project “MERIDIEN LE CAIRE”.
1997: MELCO-MEC secured “Bibliotheca Alexandrina” as first monumental Project.
1998: MELCO-MEC supplied the first high speed Mitsubishi Elevators with speed 5 m/sec at “CAIRO MERIDIEN HOTEL”.
1999: Company was founded as a Joint Venture (J/V) between the Japanese Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) and Modern Engineering Company (MEC) in Egypt.
2000: MELCO-MEC supplied the first high speed Mitsubishi Elevators with speed 6 m/sec at “Nile City Building”.
2002: MELCO-MEC started to supply the first phase at “SMART VILLAGE at 6th October” with total number of 190 units.
2006: MELCO-MEC supplied high speed Elevator “APOLO 18” at TV Building.
2008: MELCO-MEC supplied 200 units at “MADINTY Project”.
2009: MELCO-MEC was the responsible for elevators’ renovation at “RAMSSES-Cairo Train Station” and “SIDI GABER-ALEX Train Station”.
2009: MELCO-MEC supplied more than 200 units at “Palm Hills Residential Project”.
2010: MELCO-MEC supplied 108 units at “NEW GIZA”.
2015: MELCO-MEC celebrated with the grand opening of its COMPLEX and Training Center at 6th October.
2016: MELCO-MEC supplied the first elevators at the New Administrative Capital”
